Format requirements for the papers can be found here. Strict conformance with these standards is required to ensure uniformity within the proceedings.
Your technical paper must be received by May 1, 2017.
Papers should be sent via e-mail in PDF format to email@example.com.
In addition, presenters are welcome to submit their papers to the Journal of Water Reuse and Desalination or Water Science & Technology. Authors must upload their paper on the respective journal submittal sites below, following the author guidelines as specified on these links.
Presenters are responsible for uploading their papers to these sites and IWA will not be doing this for you.
Selected papers will be peer reviewed for publication in IWA Publishing’s journals Water Science and Technology, Water Science and Technology: Water Supply, Journal of Water Reuse and Desalination or Water Practice and Technology.
To Upload your Paper to the Science & Technology Journal, please upload here and select the Section/Category called “IWA Reuse 2017”
To Upload your Paper to the Journal of Water Reuse and Desalination, please upload here:|
**The Journal is open access, meaning there will be a charge for publishing the paper in this Journal, which unfortunately, IWA cannot waive.
Use of PowerPoint is strongly recommended for the Conference. Keep it simple – and large. Please use font sizes of at least 28 points. Visual aids used in your PowerPoint should not duplicate the spoken information, but should be used to visually strengthen your presentation.
We ask all speakers to use the IWA Conference Introductory Slide at the start of your PowerPoint presentation to create consistency among all speaker at the conference.
The IWA Conference Introductory Slide can be found here.
PowerPoint presentations must be uploaded to the WateReuse FTP site no later than July 10, 2017. When uploading your presentation to the FTP site, please save your file with your Name and Session Number.
International System of Units (SI Units)
We encourage all speakers to use the International System of Units (SI Units) in all written and PowerPoint materials for the 11th IWA International Conference. By adhering to this commonly agreed set of International Units, it will provide comprehension, reliability and consistency across the board and will help us avoid the potential for confusion using different units of measurements.
Please use the Discussion Paper published in the WRSG Newsletter, describing the practical use of the International System of Units, for your reference when preparing your Technical Papers and PowerPoint Presentations.
Each meeting room will be equipped with a laptop computer and an LCD projector. The laptop computer will include Windows and PowerPoint. Make sure your computer presentation is compatible with the available software. The meeting rooms will also be set up with a head table for all of the speakers, a standing podium, and one podium microphone. Other audio visual needs may be requested on the Speaker Form you fill out online.
In order to participate as a speaker at the 11th IWA International Conference, you are required to register for the conference. Speakers need to register by March 27, 2017. Speakers who fail to register by this date, will be removed from the program.
